Representatives for several local businesses, including Didion Milling, Inc., Colony Brands, Inc., Madison Environmental Group, LLC, Webcrafters Inc., Lands' End, Nestle Purina, Environmental Compliance Systems, Inc., BIOFerm Energy Systems, Perfect Environmental Performance, LLC, and Edgewood College came together to share sustainable practices and lessons learned in the development and delivery of superior environmental performance.

In 1995, the Wisconsin Environmental Initiative formed to bring together businesses, government and citizen groups in a neutral forum to address the state's key environmental issues. Seventeen years later, our founding mission remains intact. Today, we work with stakeholders to craft workable policies and develop the tools to give Wisconsin businesses and communities credible market distinction AND preserve the state's resources and environment.
